Tips:

Malaysia Entry Regulations
(Updated May 12th, 2023)

As of August 1, 2022, Malaysia has removed all entry requirements related to COVID-19.

All travelers are welcome to visit Malaysia, regardless of vaccination status, and with no additional testing or quarantine protocols. 

However, international visitors may be requested to download the MySejahtera app to indicate their COVID-19 risk status while staying in Malaysia.This COVID-19 risk status in the app may be checked upon entering premises.

 

Below are the updated entry regulations for foreigners visiting Malaysia：

  • Valid Passport
  • Visa/E-Visa.  Countries that are required to apply for a visa to enter malaysia (list of countries involved).
  • Travel Insurance is recommended but no longer required.
  • Download and update the MySejahtera app.

 

Before departure, travelers must download and activate the MySejahtera app, complete the Pre-Departure Form, and obtain the Traveler Card. Submit and verify their vaccination proof via the MySafeTravel platform. Verification of vaccination proof takes at least 2 days. Once verified, the traveler’s MySejahtera app will show the relevant electronic vaccination certificate.
